Thomson Higher Education, a part of The Thomson Corporation (TSX: TOC; NYSE: TOC), announced today that it intends to acquire most of the assets of Atomic Dog Publishing, a privately held publishing operation that provides low-cost hybrid learning solutions, in print and online formats. Once the acquisition is complete, Atomic Dog Publishing will become part of Thomson Custom Solutions (TCS), a Thomson Higher Education business unit which provides print, digital and hybrid solutions to faculty and students across all disciplines.  TCS will maintain and expand the Atomic Dog imprint. Retained employees will be relocated to TCS’ Mason, Ohio headquarters and all of Atomic Dog’s warehousing operations will be transitioned to the Thomson Distribution Center facility in Kentucky.

PRG Publishing, Inc.

Thomson Delmar Learning , a leading provider of educational resources for lifelong learning and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE:TOC; TSX:TOC) , today announced the acquisition of PRG Publishing, Inc., a leading publisher of preparation guides for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) advanced certification examinations. Prior to the acquisition, Thomson Delmar Learning had been the exclusive distributor of PRG Publishing’s products since 2003.
